Fire Company and Rescue Station 7 is located in the heart of "The Wilderness" Civil War battlefield. Considered to be CVFR's rural Fire & Rescue location, the facility was initially staffed on a part-time basis with both career & volunteer personnel for approximately 7 years. The 24/7 Coalition, a group of concerned citizens based out of "Fawn Lake", which is one of Spotylvania County's most affluent residential communities and located in Company & Station 7's first due, diligently worked with the Fire & EMS Commission to establish Fire & EMS coverage 24 hours a day, 7 day a week. In June 2006 their efforts paid off and Rescue Station 7 began staffing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In January 2007, the Fire Company began staffing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
